Membership Information

There are three types of membership, Regular Membership, Intermediate Membership, Out-of-State Membership, and Introductory Membership.  Please contact us for information about fees.

REGULAR MEMBERSHIP

PERSONS ELIGIBLE:

Men or women over 21 years of age. Candidates need to secure two sponsors who are current members of the club in good standing to whom the candidate is personally known.  Candidates are approved by the Board of Governors.

PRIVILEGES:

Use of club facilities.  Dockage as available.  Voting for Governors, one vote per membership on matters requiring membership approval.  Voting member eligible to hold office.

INTERMEDIATE MEMBERSHIP

PERSONS ELIGIBLE:

Men or women over 21 years of age and less than 45 years of age. Candidates need to secure two sponsors who are current members of the club in good standing to whom the candidate is personally known.  Candidates are approved by the Board of Governors.

PRIVILEGES:

Use of club facilities.  Dockage as available.  May not vote or hold office.

CHANGE OF STATUS

Upon reaching the age of forty-five, an Intermediate Member may become a Regular Member upon approval of the Board of Governors and the payment of an amount equaling 50% of the current  Regular Membership.  

OUT-OF-STATE  MEMBERSHIP

PERSONS ELIGIBLE:

Men or women over 21 years of age who have their principal residence outside the State of Florida, and reside in New Smyrna Beach or environs for not more than six months and fifteen days per year.  Proof of out of state residency is required.  Candidates need to secure two sponsors who are current members of the club in good standing to whom the candidate is personally known.  Candidates are approved by the Board of Governors.

PRIVILEGES:

Use of club facilities. Have all rights and privileges of regular members except dockage, the right to vote and the right to hold office.  

INTRODUCTORY MEMBERSHIP

PERSONS ELIGIBLE

Men or women over 21 years of age. Candidates need to secure two sponsors who are current members of the club in good standing to whom the candidate is personally known.  Candidates are approved by the Board of Governors. The Introductory Membership is offered one time only.

PRIVILEGES

For any four month period of the year, Introductory Members have use of club facilities. May not vote, hold office, or have dockage.
