SYC Ladies

LETTER FOR MEMBERSHIP 

January 23, 2010

On behalf of the Smyrna Yacht Club Ladies, I want to welcome you and invite you to attend our meetings and functions throughout the year.

The SYC Ladies is an energetic organization dedicated to the improvement, beautification and refurbishment of the Club through the sponsorship of various fundraisers throughout the year.  The proceeds generated by these events and the SYC Ship's Store make it possible to support numerous projects.  In 2004, the SYC Ladies established a scholarship fund to assist a New Smyrna Beach High School student to further their education.

Our social organization is made up of volunteers and we hope you will find a committee or activity to your liking.  We have meetings on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month.  On the 2nd Wednesday, we have lunch and invite a speaker.  In the past, the speakers have covered a wide range of topics such as jewelry design, history of local art, horticulture and community service agencies.  Guests are welcome at this meeting.

On the 4th Wednesday of the month the SYC Ladies hold the General Business meeting which is open only to members .  Discussion during this meeting centers on the activities, objectives and execution of ongoing projects.

We are fortunate to have so many talented ladies serving on committees and promoting fellowship.  Please feel welcome and encouraged to attend our functions.  I look foward to meeting you.
